Who would have thought it was possible to replace Christopher Reeve as Superman? Who would have thought it possible that a new Superman movie would be worth going to see after "Superman IV: The Quest for Peace"

Brandon Routh not only looks like a younger version of Chrisopher Reeve, he sounds like him. So the only problem I had with Brandon, was that he made Clark Kent and Superman look younger than he was in any of the prevoius movies, almost like his 5 year trip into space was a fountain of youth for him.

The movie was surprisingly really good. The story was not "campy" even though the style of the movie was in line with previous ones. One of the kids with me asked "why are they dressed like they are in the 50's but are using cell phones and computers like it's current day?" They wanted to know if the story took place in modern times or in the 50's... I told them it took place in the "world or universe" where Superman exists, and they dress differently there.

The effects were amazing, the acting was execellent for a Superman movie, not "Oscar" worthy.

I have only seen it once, but I would gladly go watch it again.
