Doormat

step, step
why not stomp
only wipe
Go ahead and grind
grind the muck off
grind it all off on me
don’t just wipe a little
that’s hypocritical
don’t hold back
mash all that grime
mash it off onto me
don’t leave any dirt
on those perfect little shoes
that You just had to have
to match Your eyes
disgust me again
and grind off Your dirt
all over me
I can hold it all
without a cross word
with nothing but kindness
unnoticed forevermore
under Your disgusting feet
that look perfect
to everyone else

    New Reality

This is the poem that I said I needed to work on so that it would be more appropriate for internet viewers. The sad fact is, that there was nothing wrong with the first draft except one word, which the definition of this word is exactly what I needed in that spot to get the point across perfectly, but of course, recently that word would have been taken as I was being prejudiced against a certain group of people. Some of you will read it and notice that one line does not seem to fit correctly, that is because of the word I had to change, so I am sorry that you will not get to see the full extent of what this poem was meant to say. I will say no more about this, and I hope you all like my new poem

    New Reality

    Expand, Expand!
    Break out of your fields
    flock into our cities
    this place is not real
    Digress, Digress!
    look away from this page
    drop all your books
    and lose all your rage
    Repress, Repress!
    stop studying your math
    run from your classrooms
    Now fell boredom’s WRATH!

    New Poem

I'm sorry to say that I wrote a poem that I cannot post on this site. It is inappropriate for our viewers.

It is not that there are swear words, there are none of those. The fact is that people are immature and when they read things they always take the worst connotation of any word and do not take it the way it is meant. I will try and fix this poem so that it can be placed on the site, but for now, you'll have to wait...

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

      Update

Alright, for all of my treasured readers, which I think is up to around six, here's a small update.

I just got accepted into the National Honor Society in my high school, so I must be doing something right.Image hosting by Photobucket

I just received a letter from a British Publishing Company that wants to put one of my poems in their book. That would make me an international writer. I guess I'm a better writer than I thought...

That's about it. I'm starting a new book soon, 1984 I think...so that should be interesting. I'll tell you what I think about it a little later, after I've read it. Fahrenheit 451 and To Kill a Mockingbird Image hosting by Photobucketwere good books though, and I suggest all of you read them.

        the Lost

        Lost in a jungle
        of metal and concrete
        but finding the way,
        is not much a feet
        Lost in this nowhere
        where everyone lives
        Knowing the way
        to fall through the sieve
        to fall into somewhere,
        now found in the lost
        leave the heat of fire
        for the warmth of frost

          Fear

I know it's kinda shaky on the entrance, but stick with it, I think that this has some potential. There are some good thoughts in this one, that I did not notice as I was writing it. I'll play with the first few lines to get them into the rhythm. Tell me what you think so far and give me your thoughts on how to fix it, please?

          Fear

          Alone from the fear
          of another's thoughts,
          fleeing so they
          can't connect the dots.
          Thinking differently,
          no time to bound:
          time is endless
          when no clock is wound.
          Life isn't shrt
          when there's no time.
          I'll bet it'd be longer,
if you lived as a mime.
          So I sit all Alone
with my Thoughts in my head,
          No one can hear them:
they only eat when they're Fed

            Alright

so, I feel kinda obligated to write something in here, because I am again behind Bekah, but this time by two posts. I'm not exactly sure what to write. Hm....hm....um...I really don't know. Alright, let's try this:
For all of you that live in caves, the Steelers won the Superbowl last week, and for all of you that don't know Roman Numerals, it was the 40th superbowl. It took me a while to figure that one out...so I thought I'd share my findings. On the note of the Steeler's victory, can we just get over it? It's over, and chances are we won't win another Superbowl in quite a few years, so, let's just let the past stay in the past because it's not like there's a lot of people in America that don't know that there was a Superbowl and who won. Alright?
On another note, I'm thinking somewhere around an A, because that's a high note, my father purchased a new big screen television this past week. He's been wanting to for years, I on the other hand, think though it is nice, that a television is boring and overrated. Go grab a good book and read the day away. Let your imagination take you on a journey that television destroyes. In fact, lately I've been reading a book for my College Prep English class called FAHRENHEIT 451Image hosting by Photobucket. It is a very good book and I recomend it for everyone to read.
Well, other than that, this weekend has been fairly mundane, except for today I found out that my great aunt has cancer and is dying of it. I would like to ask that we pray for her, not for her to live longer than she should, because she has already suffered enough, and needs to move on, but that her death means something, and she dies happily and goes happily to a better place. Thank you all.

So have you finished it yet? Can I read it before you return it?
By LouLaughlin, at 2/15/2006 1:33 PM

Yeah, I finished it a while ago, but you can't read it because I have to use it in class everyday. I have a test on in on Monday, then I have to return it. I can take one out at the library if you really want.

            Die Groundhog

As most of you know, about a week ago was groundhog day. Of course, there is always six more weeks of winter after groundhog day, and this year spring starts on March 20, but this holiday is fun and so it has lived on for a long time. Well, we were having good weather that day, in fact, the weather had been good for almost a week or two before that, so the groundhog saw his shadow, got scared, and predicted six more weeks of a bad winter. I thought nothing of it, until now. Only days after the prediction, the weather took a turn for the worse. It has been cold and snowy for days now, and before the groundhog said that it was going to be a hard winter, everything was great. I was loving the early spring weather, and now that dumb groundhog has messed it all up. So, I say die groundhog, die.

What kind of soul are you?

I found this in my father's blog and thought that it would be kinda neat to fill out and throw in here for a little treat to all of my readers. If you like it, you can go ahead and take the link at the bottom and answer the questions to get your own. Tell me what you think, and if this sounds at all like me, please?

            You Are a Seeker Soul

You are on a quest for knowledge and life challenges.
You love to be curious and ask a ton of questions.
Since you know so much, you make for an interesting conversationalist.
Mentally alert, you can outwit almost anyone (and have fun doing it!).

Very introspective, you can be silently critical of others.
And your quiet nature makes it difficult for people to get to know you.
You see yourself as a philosopher, and you take everything philosophically.
Your main talent is expressing and communicating ideas.

Souls you are most compatible with: Hunter Soul and Visionary Soul

I took the test again because there were questions that I could have answered differently, and I couldn't help but take it again, so, here is the second outcome, how about you tell me which sounds more like me?

            You Are a Visionary Soul

You are a curious person, always in a state of awareness.
Connected to all things spiritual, you are very connected to your soul.
You are wise and bright: able to reason and be reasonable.
Occasionally, you get quite depressed and have dark feelings.

You have great vision and can be very insightful.
In fact, you are often profound in a way that surprises yourself.
Visionary souls like you can be the best type of friend.
You are intuitive, understanding, sympathetic, and a good healer.

Souls you are most compatible with: Old Soul and Peacemaker Soul

I don't really think either of those capture how I see you, but both are close... Maybe if they were merged a little?

I do agree that you are seeking for more infomation, or learning. You do seem to enjoy that. You do have quite an imagination, so that applies too...

However, I wonder about you being "insightful", and being a "philosopher"...
By LouLaughlin, at 2/08/2006 1:32 PM

I think you are a little bit of each. Always looking for MORE knowledge and you seem to like challenges. And I KNOW you can outwit anyone you choose to and you do quite enjoy it....I think, like me in a way, you'll always be connected to your soul, but still searching for something, as I'm sure most ppl do.

In time your insightfulness will show more and more.......aging does that to a person....a philosopher, maybe, depending on where the road leads you..........

I'm going to check out this sight now.....I'll email you what mine is.......but to me I think a little of each applies to you......Aunt Cindy

            Opposition

            For Life
            is Death
            for war
            is peace
            for Chaos
            is order
            for me
            is You;
            everything
            is Nothing
            in Your eyes,
            and mine
            create Nothing
            for everything
            and everyone
            yet No one;
            the positive
            and Negative,
            for Darkness
            and Light
            You are me
            and I am You
            yet we are
            Nothing alike

              Now Smile (and forget it)

I'll bet none of you can guess what I'm talking about here...I'll give you a hint, it's a current event...Oh man, if you don't get it now, then that' s pretty bad...Hope you all like it.

              Now Smile (and forget it)

              Smile?
              but how
              it’s easier
              to Frown
              when Censure
              grows past
              my bounds;
              I can’t last
              the test of Time;
              can’t keep
              this crime
              inside
              for long
              we know
              who’s Wrong
              but showing
              this fact
              is Against
              the pact
              I Never
              signed
              forcing us
              to Rewind
              and live
              as if it
              Never happened
